    No. We have a strict no pet policy that is non-negotiable.

    Heat and hot water are included in the rent.

  • Is parking or storage available to rent?

    Yes. Parking stalls and storage lockers are available for an additional monthly fee.

  • Do you have a charging station for an electric car?

    No. We do not currently have charging stations for electric cars.

  • Is there a place to store my bicycle(s)?

    Yes. We have secure bicycle storage available for an additional fee.

  • Is there in-suite laundry?

    The penthouse suites have in-suite laundry. All other residents have access to a laundry facility on every floor.

  • How long is the lease for?

    All suites are rented on a minimum 1-year fixed lease. After the year is up, the lease continues on a month-to-month basis.

  • How old is the building?

    Starlight Towers was built in 1963, with significant renovations completed in recent years.

  • Can we have a barbeque on our balcony?

    No. Barbeques are not allowed on balconies.

  • Can we smoke or vape on our balcony?

    No. Smoking or vaping of any kind is prohibited on the balcony, in suites, in the building and anywhere on the property.

  • Can I pay my rent with a credit card?

    No. We require all rental payments to be paid by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). For more information, please ask the Building Managers.

  • Can I rent my apartment on vacation-rental websites such as Airbnb?

    No. We do not permit renting suites through vacation-rental websites such as Airbnb.

  • Who owns and manages Starlight Towers?

    The owner and manager is Austeville Properties Ltd., a family-owned company with roots firmly planted in Vancouver. Austeville has been providing people with the very best in rental accommodation in Greater Vancouver since 1968.

Starlight Towers is a lovely rental apartment building centrally located in Kerrisdale, on Vancouver’s West Side. This elegant 11-storey building offers a selection of spacious studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom rental apartments. All suites boast generous floor plans, hardwood floors and large open balconies — and many apartments have stunning views. Starlight renters enjoy the convenience of laundry facilities on every floor, mail delivered directly to their apartment doors and a dishwasher in every two-bedroom suite. This is an extremely well-maintained, quiet and secure building, with on-site building managers. Residents also have access to gated underground parking, visitor parking, storage lockers and bicycle storage.

Located on Balsam Street just north of West 41st Avenue, the building’s location is just steps to Kerrisdale’s main shopping thoroughfare, as well as numerous parks, schools and health services.

For Starlight renters looking to go further afield, Kerrisdale provides a prime launching point for cycling, as it’s one of the flattest areas in Vancouver. There are also numerous nearby transit options.
